Self-Employed
Owning your own business can be an exciting opportunity for you and your family, but taking care of your own insurance might seem a little daunting. To obtain an employer plan as a self-employed Business Group of One (BG1), incorporated or not you'll need to supply tax documentation to verify your business just like a larger employer would, and your monthly premiums are tax deductible as well. We'll personally guide you through your options, available plans, and more so that you can concentrate on running your business!
What am I eligible for / what can I get?
If you're self-employed, you're eligible for all the same plans as businesses that have 2-50 employees, though you'll operate under different rules as a BG1 (learn more on our glossary).
If you have a complicated medical history or pre-existing conditions, you may be subject to different rules, and be eligible for one of the four state mandated health insurance programs: Standard or Basic HMO, or Standard or Basic PPO.
